Drilling Rig Technology Integration

Challenge

The end to end process of enabling technology and data services on a new rig across the multitude of vendors that would provide key data and visualisation to operate as well as remotely monitor and provide predictive insights was a key challenge

Approach

Developed a common approach for deployment using standardised technology, integrating with EPC vendors for provision of core data as well as delivering hardware, network, IoT and other core capabilities required to successfully operate a rig. Established a central Remote Collaboration centre to link real time data, remote visual feeds and used data and AI / ML tools to provide predictive insights on over 20 rigs globally. Advised on IT / OT layer integration and risks. This standardised approach was deployed to all new rigs.
